  1. Covid-19 turned out to be "ok" for Africa, compared to some other world regions and compared to the massive disaster that was feared and expected. Phew. Here's one essay on Africa's low coronavirus death rates.

    Not so good news: infections are up now.

    I'm itching at the moment, and it's my nth infection with coronavirus (my participation in the so-called "second wave") that is causing the mild illness, I believe.

    More good news: outcomes soon on more large-scale trials of potential treatments.

    Meanwhile, we have the drug called dexamethasone saving lives (in specific case of advanced covid with patient on ventilator).
